Audiobook Pop! audiobook apps are launching in Google Play. Android book lovers unite!

Audiobook Pop! expands its app offering by launching all of its existing iOS apps in Google Play: first out, Audiobooks – Austen. In the coming weeks, all Audiobook Pop! apps will be available for Android.

Audiobook Pop! themes and curates its content from Librivox.org, choosing only the best narrators, saving users the hassle of trying to find a good book. Priced at $0.99, each app gives you dozens of audiobooks, hundreds of hours of listening – much less expensive than buying books at Audible.

Audiobooks – Austen, will be released December 17, 2012. Audiobooks – Austen is a Jane Austen audio book anthology, collected from the best audiobooks at Librivox.org. For the Jane Austen enthusiast, this is an easy purchase. Not only do you get Emma, Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey, but you also get lesser known stories like Lady Susan, The History of England as well as a biography of Jane Austen by her nephew. Once you buy the app, the audiobooks are free to download.

Audiobook Pop! curates its content so that there is minimal decision making, ease of use and affordability. Too much choice is not a good thing. Audiobook Pop! includes only the best narrators from Librivox.org. All the apps from Audiobook Pop! are $0.99 cents and the audiobook downloads are free. One of the apps, Audiobooks – Kids (f), is free.

Audiobook Pop! co-founder, Elizabeth Rodgers had the idea to create the app because similar apps were hard to navigate. “There are other apps that have similar content, but they include the entire Librivox catalog. Not all of the volunteer narrators on Librivox are reliable. No matter how great the book is, if you don’t like the narrator, it’s impossible to listen. Audiobook Pop! does the curating for you, both for narrators and specific themes.”

Stay tuned for further news of Audiobook Pop! Android audiobook app releases. Pop into a good book!
