Do You Really Want 20,000 Books?
by Elizabeth Rodgers | Tuesday, June 21st, 2011
Most people don’t have the time or patience to figure out what to listen to on Librivox. The collection is so vast, after a few disappointing tries to get a solid narrator, it’s easy to throw in the towel.
Just because it’s a great book does not make it a great listen. We have curated our collection to give you top-notch narration: books like Aesop’s Fables, Little Women, Jungle Book. That is to say that we pick and choose from the Librivox catalog: first, the narrator must be competent, then we structure our apps according to theme and interest.
30 Audiobooks is a number that you can conquer. An excess of choices can paralyze decision making. How do you know what to pick if you have 20,000 books?
In the next few weeks, we will be debuting three new apps: Science Fiction Audiobooks, Fantasy Audiobooks, and Fairy Tales/Folk Tales Audiobooks — each with approximately 30 Audiobooks. We have some more exciting ideas in the hopper — if there is a subject that piques your interest, contact us. We want to know.
And thanks for your interest in Audiobooks For Your Kids. We really do make your kids smarter.
